I’m Jess, a thirty something (okay, nearly 40) creative born and raised in Hartlepool. For the last 10 years I have been running No More Nowt, County Durham’s Creative People & Places programme. I am also a mam (of dragon), clown wife, artist, warrior woman, chronicler of life and storyteller.

I am currently recovering from a bad case of imposter syndrome after growing up working class in the North East and I’m passionate about creation, care and joy as an acts of resistance in our binfire world.

I had to fight all the way to where I am now and I’m committed to making sure that the weirdos and arty folks, especially the young ones, of places like County Durham and Hartlepool never have to face the same battles I have.
